Be sure to check your bill. Beware the hotel charges $46 per day for the maids tip whether you use the service or not. The restaurant at the hotel and golf course charges 18% gratuity but suggests that this is split between all of the staff and encourages more tips on top of that. What all of this means is the hotel adds on these charges to pay their staff wages. Just another example of corporate greed. Stick it to the consumer while the billionaire hotel owner gets richer.

Our group spent literal hours with the front desk to fix our bill and what we were charged for our stay and activities. There were random activity charges front desk couldn’t explain. Our negotiated room rates were not reflected in the final bill. After back-and-forth and back-and-forth, missing family breakfast, our prepaid life coach meditation sessions, and an internet snafu leading to income loss I felt insulted when I was offered $25 a night for my rooms after personally spending over two grand on top of the thousands our group spent. Staff at the front desk were incredibly frustrated by our attempts to fix the bill before checking out. Definitely not the standard of quality we expected or anticipated.

Communication with the resort absolutely sucked. After the communicating with sparse response we booked a connecting Bradshaw room at second tier level. Without any warning or a heads up we were downgraded to the lowest level of rooms. We were placed in 101 and 102 by the main service entrance that was in full swing due to the wedding weekend occurring. The night of checkin the front desk charges me for the expensive room rate. I had to spend time every day of our stay at the front desk trying to get things straightened out.

I have attached two pictures. One is of our room door, where we have incredibly large gaps along, almost the entirety of the door and an extra big hole where the deadbolt is. Not only did we experience the AC not being able to keep up with the heat, we had a hornet enter our room. We did request to be moved a number of times throughout the weekend but nothing was provided.

Our internet/wifi completely stopped worked Monday morning. The front desk said they were unable to help us. My husband missed an important work meeting, my kids’ were unable to be easily occupied while he worked and I was waylaid at the front desk trying to get my bill to come out right.

An incident with a guest ruined one afternoon as staff failed to communicate expectations. Poor communication with staff, numerous Rancho Del Los Caballeros staff stood around and watched me be berated without stepping in or reaching out to a supervisor.

The archery equipment was dated and the little feathers on the back were all bent and the bows’ strings were overextended. We paid full price for the activity.

We were so limited in who could provide compensation for our experience and time as every single manager was unavailable. While we were assured that if we paid in full now, we could have potential compensation at a completely later day this was not reassuring. We had incredible difficulty with reaching concierge, front desk, the spa, and having our calls or emails returned in a timely manner. Wayne mentioned that this was an issue many of the guests at the resort were experiencing, the validation and explicit commiserating of the resort’s short comings was unprofessional.

Wayne offered an agreeably (Wayne agreed) insulting $75 as compensation for an atrocious dropping of the ball on the resort’s part throughout our booking and stay. I was dismissed by Wayne. I was told my credit card was on file and he would run it regardless of my inability to speak with a supervisor. I was strong armed into a situation which could’ve been avoided and handled better.

My husband set up a weekend getaway for us. He attempted to schedule golf, horseback riding, and skeet shooting. The communication he received for gold made it seem like it was for "members only" not guests of the ranch so we went to a different course. We had to skip skeet shooting because the email with directions on what time to be at the corral was vague and unclear. So overall the communication hasn't been great.

The rooms are okay. Definitely aged. Housekeeping attempted to enter our room very quickly after knocking. Luckily I was catching the door as she was sliding the key in, or she would have had a "show". The water takes forever to warm up, and there's no water pressure to wash your hair.

The food is good and overall experience was ok. I enjoyed my getaway weekend but probably won't return.

The service of this resort is truly the shining star aside from the many beautiful amenities. I truly felt like I was cared for at this resort and they always tried to go above and beyond to provide the best service. Unbelievable views, great food and bars and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We will definitely return to Los Cab!

The ranch was truly magical! We came as a family - 2 adults and 2 kids. My kids are 15 months and 4 years old. There were lots of activities including skeet shooting and archery, and of course horseback riding. My daughter was on the horse every day for the ring rides! She fell in love with Slim Shady the horse. We also sent her to the kids camp run by Marty and she was super nice and fun to hang out with. The staff were helpful, professional and attentive to our needs. Thanks so much for a wonderful family experience! PS the room we had was super large with kitchen and separate rooms for living and sleeping. Highly recommend for families to get the bigger lodges.

Every staff member that worked here was an absolute pleasure. From the folks at the front desk to the servers at the bar and in the restaurant, everyone was so incredibly friendly and kind.
The buffet served for breakfast lunch and dinner were excellent. The rooms were nicely appointed and each one was different. Some of them are quite a walk away from the main hotel and not always lit well at night so make sure you have your phone so you can use your flashlight! The hotel is advertised as luxury dude ranch. I definitely would not classify this hotel on the luxury level. If you are someone that likes to be incredibly comfortable, have all the amenities etc lower your standards just a bit. I would say it was a nice place especially for how rugged and hot it is out there in wickenburg.
The pool is average, and they could really use some better coffee at the buffet in the morning. The only way to get something decent is to go to the bar and have them use the espresso machine inside the restaurant around the corner. There was a big group of us and we did the team penning and the horseback ride along with some shooting. The team penning was fun, the horseback ride was very sleepy and way too long. Even in the morning at 9:00 a.m. we were baking in the sun. I love and have experience with horses, but this was just a little boring as we were in one long single file line.
We had fun for sure and again, the service and the people were outstanding. Everything else I would say was average so don't get your hopes up if you're truly looking for luxury.
